This Case study comprises of a challenging part refurbishment and significant extension to a very restricted location at the prestigious Queen Eizabeth's School. This particular project further extended the existing library building at first floor level (previously part extended by ourselves during a separate project) and provided a purpose built dining hall to the ground floor below. During the project the school employed an Interior Design practice to enhance the dining hall area a significant number of interior design enhancements were designed, priced and incorporated during the contract.
The 5400 square foot library extension incorporated a piled and steel frame structure with a large span Glulam roof structure with exposed whitewood decking to the underside and Rigidal Standing Seam Roofing externally. The extension building also incorporated the installation of full height Reyners Curtain Walling, which spanned two floors between the Dining hall and Library space above.
The 5000 square foot Dining Hall incorporated a number of interior design enhancements including a bespoke Norament (Nora) Flooring System, which was laid using individual coloured rubber floor tiles to the Interior Designers' pattern together with high specification lighting installation throughout. A bespoke Servery Counter Installation was also procured, co-ordinated and installed by ourselves in accordance with the interior designers' final requirements.
