Case study project comprises of two separate design and build projects at the historic New Hall School site in Chelmsford, Essex. The First building comprises of a high specification, purpose built Changing Room facility and first floor fitness suite which was successfully constructed to a fast-track programme period to ensure completion for an important school sporting event in June 2009.
The second building comprised a high specification three story classrooms building in accordance with strict planning requirements. This building is sited adjacent to an existing Grade 1 listed building built by Henry VII. In addition to specific aesthetic requirements this building was required to be completed in strict accordance with current BREEAM requirements in order to successfully achieve a ‘very good’ BREEAM rating upon completion in November 2009.
