This project comprised of internal alterations and refurbishment to a number of complete floors and isolated areas within a 1960's in-situ concrete framed college building. The works also included the construction of a new entrance foyer, creating an atrium space to the entrance foyer and a four storey link extension to create new teaching spaces and access between the existing buildings.
Major asbestos removal works were required as an enabling package and refurbishment of 1st floor offices and ground floor office accommodation.
The works also included substantial structural steelwork to the existing and very slim pre-cast concrete structure, to prepare for the removal of a large section of 1st floor slab to create an impressive two storey open foyer. The foyer included a dedicated media wall and a new extension to the front of the building, creating a new meeting area and function room.
