The completion of a new 12 bay Border Control Post has been achieved and was fully operational for the Port of Tilbury on the day of Handover.
The superstructure comprises of a structural steel frame encased with composite cladding. The internal structure is formed of a composite wall and ceiling panel system providing suitable storage areas for groceries. Construction required careful logistical planning due to its location on the new Tilbury 2 Port and the close proximity of live overhead and underground services critical to the Port's daily activities.
Successfully negotiating all logistical changes without disruption to the Port's 24-hour operational activities
Synchronised design and construction of two similar project types within a limited time period
