This Case Study project comprises of the clearance, re-cycling and re-building of an existing listed boundary wall at Stable House in Colchester, Essex.
The existing wall encountered irreparable damage to a section measuring 30m x 4.5m high following storm force winds and subsequently required full clearance and recycling of approximately 24,000 bricks before re-building works could commence.
The new construction involved the excavation and construction of a new reinforced footing to provide greater support and stability to the new wall section before the new brickwork could be carefully re-built and toothed in to the surrounding structures by our expert tradesman in keeping with the bond and mortar specifications used in the construction of the original wall.
