Project Overview
Cadman Construction completed a programme of alterations and refurbishment works at Beaconsfield Golf Club, enhancing a number of key areas within the existing clubhouse.
The golf club was established in 1913 and the clubhouse is a Grade II listed building, requiring a considered approach to the works and careful integration of the new and refurbished elements within the existing building.

Scope of Works
The refurbishment involved the reconfiguration and upgrading of several areas within the existing clubhouse to improve the facilities available to members and visitors.
Works included refurbishment of the Restaurant, Club Room and Members’ Bar, increased the size and updated the commercial and prep kitchen. Structual upgrades were made to the balcony area and converted to a viewing area with glass balastrade.
Fire upgrade included a new fire escape staircase, fire compartmentention. Refurb to flat included fire upgrade.
Alterations to bar areas and new doors were fitted with bespoke Oak joinery and finished in French polish.
As a Grade II listed property, the works required careful consideration of the existing building and its character. Our team worked closely with the client to ensure the alterations were sensitively incorporated into the clubhouse while delivering the improvements required by the Golf Club.

Working Within a Listed Building
Refurbishing an established Grade II listed clubhouse presented a number of considerations, particularly when introducing modern facilities and alterations into the existing building.
Cadman’s experience in refurbishment and heritage projects enabled the team to work sensitively within the existing structure, maintaining the character of the clubhouse while delivering practical improvements to its facilities.

The refurbishment has brought together the requirements of a modern golf club with the character and heritage of a building that has been part of Beaconsfield Golf Club for over a century.
