Case study project comprises of a high specification, purpose built Music Centre and Auditorium including a medium sized 200 seater Performance/Recital Hall, Circulation Foyer and a number of designated Practice and Music Rooms to two floors within a separate teaching wing to the West of the building.
This particular project required an exceptional level of attention to detail to ensure that strict acoustic performance criteria to specific room designs were achieved in conjunction with a natural passive cooling system operated by motorised vents to two high-level chimneys, which were designed to draw air from the building via a series of acoustically engineered, underground ventilation ducts.
