Case study project comprises of a large purpose built equestrian visitors centre at Hollesey Bay in Suffolk. The new building comprises of a Kalzip standing seam roof supported by a pen steel frame, together with a timber clad blockwork envelope incorporating aluminium windows and external doors. The building also features a rainwater harvesting system, which ensures consistency with modern BREEAM design objectives.
The building was constructed for The Suffolk Punch Trust within a fast track programme to provide enhanced visitors facilities and also incorporates a number of classrooms for educational use. The building itself provides our client with a low maintenance and low cost facility constructed using materials sympathetic to their surroundings whilst still providing a contemporary appearance.
