This project involved the comprehensive refurbishment of two existing bungalows formerly owned by Ormiston Academy. We undertook a total renovation, including the safe removal of asbestos, and reconfigured the internal layout to create a modern, open-plan living space. The transformation turned the original structures into three-bedroom bungalows, reflecting contemporary design and functionality.

We replaced the old flat roofs with new, pitched ones, significantly enhancing the properties' aesthetic appeal and structural integrity. Our external works included installing new patios, fresh landscaping with grass, and upgrading the drainage systems to ensure long-term sustainability. Additionally, we made significant improvements to thermal efficiency, ensuring that these homes are not only beautiful but also energy-efficient.

Social Value

Alongside our commitment to the communities in which we work, we partnered with Ormiston Academy for their 'Mini Construction Week.' Our involvement included organising activities for the students, such as designing bespoke site safety posters for them to colour. These vibrant creations were proudly displayed on our site hoarding, not only enhancing the visual appeal but also fostering a sense of awareness about site safety among the children. It was rewarding to see their enthusiasm and creativity contribute to a safer, more colourful site.
