Cadman Decarbonisation & Sustainability

Cadman Construction are delighted to introduce the most recent addition to our specialist works – Cadman Decarbonisation.

The construction industry is one of the world’s largest economic ecosystems, and as an industry we have a major part to play in helping the environment. As a well-established South-East contractor of 90 years, we have ensured that our Environmental Policy is aligned with the UK Cabinet Office ‘Carbon Reduction Plan’ and are committed to achieving Net Zero nationally by 2045. With extensive public sector experience in Education, Health, Leisure, Housing, Heritage, Defence and Industrial/Commercial we have more recently expanded our speciality works into Decarbonisation.

Cadman Construction are currently working as main contractors at Colchester Institute, one of the largest vocational training providers in North Essex. We are carrying out decarbonisation works to aid with energy efficiency & reducing annual carbon emissions by 290 tonnes, supporting the replacement of gas fired boilers with Air Source Heat Pumps, replacing single glazed Crittal windows and insulation panels throughout the existing pair of five storey teaching blocks.
