We are pleased to announce the completion of a £ 2.6m refurbishment and extension of the Science Building at Alleyns School in Dulwich. This highly bespoke project included the construction of a new plant room prior to demolition of the existing boiler house and following establishment of the new plant room a three storey extension was constructed within an extremely restricted service yard ensuring no disruption to the daily operations of the school.
The external facade to the science block extension incorporated a high specification Kawneer Curtain Walling System with anodised external cover caps and concealed teleflex systems to all opening windows, the laboratory installations and teacher walls were also meticulously designed to fit within the primary structure to maximise the available space and required extensive co-ordination to ensure compliance with the Architects specific requirements.
