Following our committed drive to complete the much anticipated new STEM Centre at Braintree College, we are pleased to report that Construction and refurbishment activities are nearing completion with the project due to handover on schedule early next week.
The College at Braintree are a constituent further eduction establishment of The Colchester Institute and the Project started back in July 2016 with the challenging brief to convert a large existing sports hall into a fully equipped and state-of-the art Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics centre to significantly expand the colleges facilities.
The project has since undergone a significant transformation following the introduction of a large steel frame within the sports hall to facilitate the incorporation of multiple Engineering workshops and teaching spaces by creating a second storey within the existing hall space. Following a comprehesive refurbishment and extension programme the centre will soon be fully operational complete with highly technical Mechanical, Electrical and IT installations designed to meet the colleges high demands for air extraction, welding equipment, CNC machinery and state of the art IT equipment.
We look forward to completing another successful project at the College which will no doubt be an inspiration to many students looking to pursue a career in the Construction Industry.
